TO YARN
We are passionate about natural fibres. As new sheep farmers in Worcestershire, we realised that the amazing wool they we were harvesting from our gorgeous ewes had so little value in commercial markets that we were better off burning it that spending money on diesel to transport it 45 minutes down the road. As more people are coming to realise the importance of buying direct from consumer we decided to make the most of the wonderful wool grown on our organic, biodynamic farm and others like it. Everything we sell is truly responsibly sourced and ethical. No offsets, no gimmicks.
Wool Production in the UK
Sadly the UK has lost nearly all of its ability to turn wool from a sheep's back into usable fibre. Most commercially available UK yarns have had to be processed abroad at some stage in its journey to the consumer. By supporting UK farmers and a newly growing UK wool production industry we hope that wool can once again become the most sustainable and useful fibre.
